Restorative justice, as a paradigm of justice, involves different interventions aimed at addressing the needs of victims and fostering accountability among offenders for the harm caused. Joint meetings are not always possible or advisable; therefore, this article, after conceptualizing the importance of restorative justice in promoting reintegration, explores the potential of individual restorative justice programs for working with convicted terrorists.

Due to the nature of these crimes, the process of taking responsibility is not so simple, since the motivations are rooted in the perpetrators' ideas, values, and beliefs. This article offers a way to articulate these programs by combining them with concepts such as desistance and Otto Scharmer's Theory U.
