This article analyses the evolution of Israel's counter-terrorism strategies, with the aim of explaining their effectiveness, considering the constant need to protect its population and adapt to a constantly changing national and international environment. Political actions, military operations and intelligence tactics are addressed, with objectives ranging from the regional to the international. Since 1948, the year of its founding as a state, Israel has faced continuous terrorist attacks and armed conflicts, which has required constant reinvention and learning based on previous experiences. It also examines internal discrepancies in Israeli society regarding counter-terrorism strategies, reflecting a broader debate on the legitimacy of these actions and their impact on human rights and the perception of the international community.
